Walnut Oat "Burgers"

I made this twice in the last week or so...but just now getting the time to post.

The Recipe:

2 C Black Olives
1/2 C water

Blend those in a blender until smooth.

In a large bowl combine the following.
5 C old fashioned oats
2 C shredded onion
1 C finely chopped walnuts
2 T low-sodium soy sauce
2 t salt
1 t sage
1 t thyme
1 t onion powder
1 t garlic salt
1/2 t marjoram

Add the olive mixture and stir well.

In the blender blend 2 C walnuts with 3 1/2 C water until smooth.  Add to your oat mixture and stir well. Let sit for 15 minutes allowing the oats to absorb the liquid.



Using 1/3 cup measure out and "flatten" the patties (the mix will still be "runny") on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min, turn the burgers over and bake another 15-20 minutes or until browned.
